Laury and Cindy Today with Grandchildren Morgan and Benjamin
After UPT
Cindy and I left Enid and went to Merced where I attended B52 training. Then to Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City for 6+ years with a few months TDY in Guam. When Jimmy Carter canceled the B-1 I think the whole alert shack decided it was time to move on. I know I did and we left the AF in 78 and came back to Missouri to join my family in the auto business. We were Chrysler Volkswagen dealers at that time and after a couple years we opened an additional dealership in Sullivan where Cindy and I now live. My brothers and I had a very amicable and friendly parting in the mid eighties and since that time we have added Ford, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC to our Sullivan location and we also opened a Kia store in Rolla, MO in 2008. Both my son and daughter work in the business as did Cindy until her Mom became ill about 8 years ago. The business has had its ups and downs but overall has been very good to us.
