Bill and Gail Today
After UPT I flew Tankers (KC-135A) as Co-Pilot, Aircraft Commander, Instructor Pilot, Stan Eval Pilot, had several Tanker Staff jobs mixed in, an Overseas tour to Torrejon AB, Spain with TAC's 2nd Aircraft Delivery Group, then back to Tankers and retirement at KI Sawyer AFB, in the Great White North of the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. Sawyer was my first assignment out of UTP and where I met my wife Gail. We have one daughter
Kelly, 36 and a son David 32, no grandkids. In 1994 I retired from the Air Force and started flying Charter Flights out of the local airport. Sawyer AFB got caught in the changing times and closed in 1995. In 1997 another
retired Tanker Pilot buddy got me involved with the reutilization of Base Housing and a Property/Maintenance management company he had started. In October of 2010 I retired from full time employment, but still work summers for the same company. When not working, the summers are filled with fishing and boating and winters are spent traveling in the southern states and staying warm. LIFE IS GOOD!
