Jim Kieltyka
The Tiger Photo
Jim had formally changed his name after we graduated from UPT - he is now known as James P. Kiel. Jim passed away and the limited obituary available reads as follows:
James was born on September 13, 1949 and passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010.
James was a resident of Trenton, Ohio.
Through search and email contact, we have been fortunate to contact Jim’s brother Rick. Rick has provided us with some insight into Jim’s life after we all completed UPT and left Vance. Jim attempted to make the world a better place where ever he could. The following is an excerpt of the information Rick has been kind enough to provide:
“The last 20 years of his life were characterized by vast ingenuity, resourcefulness and a quixotic moral high ground he defended and took into countless battles against corruption where ever he found it.”
After Jim’s death he had … “the honor of a military funeral at the Abraham Lincoln cemetery in Elwood, IL. It seemed to be a fitting end for a soldier whose battles were fought to the end, at great personal expense for the benefit those around him.”
Please remember Jim in your thoughts as we prepare for our Class Reunion.
