Steve and Gail Today
After UPT, went to MacDill for F-4 school, then to Phillipines for jungle survival, followed by a year in Udorn, Thailand. Back to the US for 3 years in Austin, Texas at Bergstrom AFB in the O-2, then back to F-4s at Seymour Johnson AFB in NC. The personnel center said my next tour would be another remote in Korea, so I left the AF, got a Flight Engineer Rating and hired by Continental. Flew with them out of El Paso for 2 years , got furloughed and never went back. I ended up back home working at the nuclear weapon plant in Oak Ridge, Tn and stayed there until I retired in 2008. During that period back in Tennessee, I flew tankers with the Knoxville unit of the Tennessee ANG. I retired from there in 1999.
My wife, Gail and I live in Knoxville where we have four grown children in and around the area and 3 grandchildren, 2 girls and a boy.
